Rita Glossner is the mother of the reckless southern family, the Glossners, who are one of the Heck Family's neighbors. Rita's boys go around the neighborhood smashing stuff and stealing items. She has five children: her oldest son Rodney, Derrick Glossner, two little boy Glossners, and a little girl Glossner. Her other son, ¨Diaper¨ Glossner, is about 4, rides around on a tricycle and swears. When neighbor, Frankie Heck, brings up her children's bad behavior she denies it, claiming that they're angels, untill the rest of the Neighbors finally stood up to her and revealed to her that all the stuff her she had in her garage was stolen loot that was stolen form her neighbors by her sons.

Rita is tall, with squiggly brown hair and deep brown eyes. She often dresses very sleazily and isn't very chaste. She often appears holding a beer can, which she tends to whip into somebody's lawn. She is lazy and apparently lives a very hard life, which may explain why she's so mean to everyone all the time. All the neighbors are afraid of her, including the Hecks and the Donahues, and for a good reason ---Rita has proved to be petty, unstable, and always itching for a fight. She especially seems to have a bone to pick with the Heck family, and they have tangled several times throughout the series.

Rita has a messy life. Her first husband was a drug addict who and an Ephebophile or a hebephile who left her for a high school girl (referenced in The Neighbor), and she is not married in the series. Her teenage son, Derrick, drives a motorbike and has kissed the Heck's middle child, Sue, several times (which she pretends she hates but secretly likes). Rita apparently went to jail at least once during the series, and has been under house arrest at least twice.
